We are recruiting for a step-up Maintenance Supervisor / Small Works Supervisor to oversee and drive the successful delivery of minor works, fabric alterations, asset lifecycle upgrades, and compliance-led tasks within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. This role bridges the gap between supervisory engineering and corporate project management. It is an opportunity for an ambitious Project Coordinator, Working Supervisor, or Senior Tradesperson who is ready to take full ownership of small works and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Command: Plan, scope, execute, and sign off on small works and minor engineering/refurbishment projects across mechanical, electrical, and building fabric disciplines.
- Team Leadership & Resource Optimisation: Line-manage a capable, dedicated on-site technical team (Electrical, Mechanical, and Fabric), coordinating daily workloads, mentoring apprentices, and ensuring high-efficiency output.
- Supply Chain & Subcontractor Governance: Onboard, monitor, and manage specialized external contractors, verifying that site arrivals, safety standards, and commercial delivery align with contract specifications.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for client site representatives, delivering clear progress reports and managing expectations under strict operational parameters.
Experience & Background Required
- Proven Foundation: Candidates must possess some demonstrable experience coordinating small works, minor variations, or lifecycle tasks—ideally within Hard FM, building services, or construction fit-outs.
- Technical Background: A solid foundational understanding of electrical, mechanical, or building fabric services.
- Safety & Process Focus: A robust understanding of safety management, permit systems, and document control.
