We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join a well-established organisation, supporting the day-to-day management of a varied estate of both modern and historic buildings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a wider regional facilities team, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site, overseeing a small in-house team of maintenance operatives while coordinating external contractors as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and supporting a small team of in-house maintenance operatives
- Coordinating and supervising contractors on site
- Ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is completed efficiently
- Supporting compliance across health & safety and statutory requirements
- Assisting with the management of both older and modern building assets
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and the wider regional FM team
- Monitoring works to ensure quality and standards are maintained
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Facilities Management or Assistant FM role
- Experience managing or supervising maintenance teams
- Strong understanding of building maintenance and compliance
- Confident liaising with contractors and stakeholders
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Good communication and leadership skills
Requirements
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
