A respected Further Education college in Wales is recruiting a full-time Estates Officer / Caretaker on a temporary contract. This is a practical, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of a busy campus. Ideal for someone with caretaking or facilities experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, well-presented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and securing buildings (key-holding)
- Daily site checks and ensuring a safe, compliant campus
- Minor repairs, first-line maintenance, and basic DIY tasks
- Setting up classrooms, exam spaces, and events
- Responding to facilities requests from staff and students
- Supporting health & safety routines, including fire alarm testing
- Grounds duties such as litter picking and gritting
- Porterage: moving furniture, equipment, and deliveries
- Occasional support with call-outs or shift cover
What We're Looking For
- Experience in estates, caretaking, facilities, or building maintenance
- Practical maintenance/DIY skills
- Strong awareness of health & safety
