The Opportunity:

Branta Recruitment is working on behalf of a respectedFM service provider to recruit a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer. This is a mobile role covering commercial sites across Yorkshire, including schools, hospitals, offices, and retail properties.

Youll be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and installation of a wide range of commercial gas appliances and systems. The ideal candidate will be ACS-qualified, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently on a mobile basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out servicing, fault-finding, and reactive repairs on commercial gas appliances and heating systems

• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and statutory compliance checks

• Install and commission commercial boilers, heaters, and associated plant

• Work across schools, retail units, office buildings, healthcare, and other commercial settings

• Complete all job reports, certifications, and safety documentation accurately and promptly

• Participate in a rota-based call-out system (paid)

Requirements:

• ACS Commercial Gas qualifications, including:

  • COCN1 or CODNCO1

  • ICPN1, TPCP1A, CIGA1, CDGA1

• Minimum of 3 years\’ experience in a commercial gas engineering role

• Strong understanding of building services and compliance standards

• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills

• Full UK Driving Licence essential

• Additional plumbing or HVAC knowledge advantageous
