We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a busy and growing team, delivering maintenance across a portfolio of commercial sites. This is predominantly a static role, based in Alnwick with occasional travel to the wider Northumberland region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer from a facilities, manufacturing, industrial, or plant background who is looking for a varied role with long-term stability and development.
The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across a range of building systems, ensuring all plant and equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial sites.
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Maintenance of building services including lighting, power, HVAC plant, and associated equipment.
- Carry out minor installation and upgrade works.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry regulations.
- Complete job reports and updates via CAFM systems.
- Support wider building services and multi-skilled tasks where required.
What We're Looking For
- Recognised engineering qualification (electrical or mechanical NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Background in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, industrial or plant environments.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across building services or machinery.
- 18th Edition (desirable, not essential).
- Experience working in a mobile or field-based role (advantageous).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
