Branta Recruitment is currently recruiting for a skilled and qualified Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading facilities management team based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a range of commercial sites throughout the North East, delivering high-quality maintenance, servicing, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a variety of commercial systems.
  • Service and maintain HVAC systems including:
  • Split systems
  • VRV/VRF systems
  • Chillers
  • Clean coils, replace filters, and perform system checks to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
  • Carry out inspections and make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Support complex installations or upgrades in collaboration with engineers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure full compliance with F-Gas regulations and site-specific health and safety standards.
  • Key Requirements

    • F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential).
    • Proven experience in a mobile HVAC or air conditioning engineer role.
    • Competence in servicing industrial cooling units.
    • Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
    • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
    • Confident working independently and managing your own workload.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Full UK driving licence (essential).
