We are recruiting for a hands-on Small Works Manager to oversee and support the delivery of minor works, lifecycle projects and compliance-driven tasks within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. This role combines technical leadership with practical involvement, ideal for someone who enjoys managing a small team while still being actively involved in the tools when required.
The Role
You will plan, coordinate and deliver small works across electrical, mechanical and fabric disciplines, ensuring all activity meets strict compliance and safety standards. Alongside managing the team, you will also provide hands-on technical support, stepping in to assist with works, troubleshooting and ensuring safe, efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a small in-house team (Elec / Mech / Fabric).
- Act as a working supervisor, supporting the team with hands-on tasks when required.
- Scope, plan and deliver small works, minor projects and lifecycle tasks.
- Ensure all works meet stringent compliance, safety and quality standards.
- Produce and review RAMS, permits, method statements and technical documentation.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure performance, safety and compliance.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, materials and resource allocation.
- Act as the technical point of contact for stakeholders and site representatives.
- Maintain accurate reporting, project updates and audit-ready documentation.
