We are supporting a leading FM & refrigeration service provider who are expanding their South Coast engineering team. This role offers a stable patch, realistic workloads, and strong technical support ideal for an experienced refrigeration engineer looking for a long-term move.

The Role

You will carry out service, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of commercial refrigeration systems across retail, hospitality, leisure, and light industrial sites. Typical equipment includes:

  • Walk-in chillers & freezers
  • Display fridges & cabinets
  • Ice machines
  • Cellar cooling
  • Packs & associated plant
  • Small-scale cold rooms

You will manage your own workload, attend reactive breakdowns, complete PPM, and ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with F-Gas regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial refrigeration systems
  • Diagnose faults and complete efficient, safe repairs
  • Carry out F-Gas compliant leak testing, pressure testing, evacuation and refrigerant handling
  • Complete job sheets, compliance documentation and asset updates
  • Support customers with technical advice and system performance improvements
  • Participate in the on-call rota (typically 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 depending on patch)

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer
  • Strong fault-finding skills across commercial refrigeration equipment
  • F-Gas Category 1 (C&G 2079) essential
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning preferred
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, FM or commercial environments is beneficial
