Materials Controller - Maternity Cover

If you enjoy turning forecasts into plans, keeping systems accurate, and building strong day-to-day relationships across Production and Quality teams, this is your chance to make a real difference.
As a Materials Controller, your key focus is straightforward but vital: ensure ingredients, including raw materials, are available for production, on time, in full, and without unnecessary waste.
You'll be the person who helps production teams breathe easier because the right materials are in the right place at the right time.
What you'll be doing
Purchase Order control:
place and control Purchase Orders to support production requirements.
Supplier liaison:
work with suppliers to ensure deliveries arrive
on time and in full , raising issues early and resolving them effectively.
Material scheduling:
schedule materials in line with production needs and regularly review plans against forecast changes.
Prevent stock issues:
identify potential stock problems, investigate root causes, report clearly, and drive solutions.
Continuous improvement:
constantly assess and review departmental requirements, looking for smarter ways to improve accuracy, service levels and efficiency.
Daily/weekly evaluation:
review yields and maintain stock count accuracy to ensure the ordering system stays live and correct.
System accuracy:
enter and maintain data in the online systems to keep records live, accurate and audit-ready.
What we're looking for
