We are looking for a Sizing & Intake Team Leader to join our Abernethy Site. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Sizing & Intake operations of our fresh potato factory. We are currently at an exciting time for the business, with new automation recently installed as part of our continuous improvement plans.

The working environment within food manufacturing is fast-paced and susceptible to change, meaning you will need to adapt, and react accordingly to a varied workload.

Examples of duties include:

  • Leadership: providing consistent leadership across shifts, whilst always demonstrating and role modelling our Branston HWDB values.
  • Planning: Management of staff resource, dealing with crewing and holiday requests.
  • Employee relations & engagement: Working with HR to ensure any employee relations matters are handled consistently and in line with policy.
  • Performance Management: Reviewing employee performance regularly, providing constructive feedback, motivating and engaging the team to work to their best. Developing direct reports to reach their potential and promote succession planning within the business.
  • Health & Safety: Acting as a role model for H&S, ensuring processes are strictly adhered to by all members of the team, and taking appropriate action when others do not work in a safe manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure all members of the team are following standard operating procedures and working area complies with GMP audit standards.
  • Training: Ensure all employees are fully trained and competent in their area of responsibility, following standard operating procedures, and completing appropriate training records.

You will be joining a very supportive team, who offer a vast amount of knowledge and expertise across our 3 sites.

Salary: £36785.84 per annum (subject to pay review August 2026)

Shift Pattern: Tuesday- Saturday 07:00-15:30
