Week 1: Sunday–Wednesday, 06:30am - Finish
Week 2: Sunday–Tuesday , 06:30am - Finish
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Operative to join our Quality Assurance team. This is a key role within the business, encompassing all aspects of day-to-day QA duties including analysis of loads arriving on site, monitoring the quality of products leaving site, and communicating quality issues to other departments, particularly the production management team.
The successful candidate will work closely with machine operators and process controllers to ensure production output is maintained to the highest possible standard.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplete QA documentation by accurately recording information relating to each production runEnsure all necessary checks are completed before each production run commencesCollect destructive samples of finished product and record findings in line with customer specificationsCollect and record samples for shelf-life analysis and take regular samples of outgraded productWork as part of a team with machine operators and process controllers to maintain high production standardsMentor line operatives, helping them understand how high quality is achieved while eliminating poor practicesCarry out routine checks including:Check-weigher calibrationChemical dosing levelsProbe calibrationCarry out the internal target inspection processConduct internal audits across the siteEnsure all paperwork is submitted accurately and on time to the relevant departmentsFollow Health & Safety policies and report incidents or near misses through the correct channelsCarry out any other reasonable duties requested by managementGeneral ResponsibilitiesEnsure all Health & Safety and Hygiene rules are followed at all timesCarry out duties efficiently with concern for effective xiskglj use of time and resourcesTake responsibility for personal development and training opportunitiesSupport continuous improvement across the departmentWhat We're Looking ForStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentPrevious QA or food production experience desirable but not essentialCommitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards
