Branston is looking for a motivated and reliable Raw Materials Operative to join our Intake Team. This is a varied, hands-on role where flexibility and teamwork are essential. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth intake, grading, storage, and movement of potato products across site operations.
Shift Pattern
A Shift: Sunday – Tuesday, alternate WednesdayHours: 07:00 – Finish
FLT Licence essential.
About the Role
Working within the Intake Team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklift trucks and supporting day-to-day yard and intake operations. The role requires the ability to work across multiple tasks, adapt quickly, and follow operational systems and procedures to maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Manage intake deliveries, unloading and reloading vehiclesOperate counterbalance or reach FLT safely and efficientlyConduct daily FLT safety checks and report defects or faultsFeed and tip products into grading linesRemove, label, and stack boxes in designated areasEnsure accurate stock, pallet, and box countsManage traffic flow and direct vehicles appropriatelySupply the correct product to designated areas to maximise stock utilisationFollow and enforce company health, safety, and hygiene proceduresMaintain a clean and tidy working environment through a “clean as you go” approachSupport general yard duties and provide cover for team members when requiredAssist with coordination and movement of materials, equipment, and personnel
