Join Our Team This Christmas! We're looking for a number of reliable and experienced PPT Drivers across all shifts to join our busy potato packing facility during the Christmas production period. This is a fixed-term opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys being part of a hardworking team. Transport to site from Lincoln city centre is available.
Contract: October 2026 to Mid-January 2027, opportunities for permanent roles for the right candidates.
Shift: 4 on, 4 off OR Day Shift A Pattern (Week 1: Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed & Week 2: Sun, Mon, Tues) OR B Pattern (Week 1: Thurs, Fri, Sat & Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat) Night Shift A Pattern (Week 1: Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed & Week 2: Sun, Mon, Tues) OR B Pattern (Week 1: Thurs, Fri, Sat & Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)
Hours: Day Shift - 6am to finish, Night Shift - 6pm to finish
Pay: Day Shift - £14.61, Night Shift - £16.44
Overtime: Opportunities available
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) safely and efficiently.
- Transport potato products around a site for storage and then distribution to customers.
- Carry out daily equipment checks and report any faults or damage.
- Follow all health and safety, food safety, and hygiene procedures.
- Load and unload lorries via despatch bays.
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and dispatch teams to maintain workflow.
- Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices.
About You:
- A valid Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence or relevant in-house training or if experience we can offer an in-house refresher course.
- Experience operating a PPT in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime during peak production periods.
- Experience within a food manufacturing environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
- For the right candidate we may consider providing in-house PPT training.
