We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead operations within our Prepared foods manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day production, ensuring targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality and food safety standards. This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and is passionate about continuous improvement, people development, and operational excellence.
Can you:
- Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve output, quality, and efficiency targets
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and BRC standards
- Monitor KPIs including yield, waste, downtime, and labour efficiency, driving improvements where needed
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality/Technical, HR and Planning teams to resolve issues and improve processes
- Manage staffing levels, training, performance, and disciplinary matters where required
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure accurate production reporting and documentation
The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Production Manager, or in a similar senior role, within food manufacturing, with a strong working knowledge of food safety standards including BRC, HACCP, and GMP. A confident people manager with excellent leadership and communication skills, able to motivate teams and drive performance. Results-driven, you will demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
