About the role. We are looking for a proactive and hands on Maintenance Manager to join our Mash division who has a passion for working collaboratively, driving team performance and has a commitment to continuous improvement!
What you will be doing?
- Work in conjunction with Engineering Manager and Site Services Manager to ensure all Engineering Health and Safety documentation and procedures across the site are adhered to and all the relevant documentation is up to date.
- Support Engineering Manager with the creation of department procedures. Audit the department for compliance to all company policies and procedures. Facilitate site audits both internal and external e.g., BRC, AIG, GMP. Ensure teams follow internal processes to deliver positive audit results.
- Manage and develop the maintenance team engaging in recruitment, performance management and succession planning.
- Understand the criticality of plant and equipment to business performance and prioritise and manage Maintenance activities to deliver agreed levels of performance.
- Work with Engineering Manager to set KPIs relating to maintenance, build department budgets and control expenditure.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records, utilising the departments CMMS system, to establish cost of ownership, to facilitate proactive maintenance and better procurement of new equipment.
- Continually identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations across the site using Route Cause Analysis.
- Produce daily maintenance reports relating to machinery performance and staff utilisation.

What we want from you?
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Proven track record in managing an engineering budget
- Experience of CMMS systems
- IOSH certified (NEBOSH preferable)
- Recognised qualification in an engineering discipline, preferably multi-discipline
- Experience of people management
