GP wanted for friendly, highly respected practice in mid-Cornwall. We are looking for a salaried GP to join our great team, for 3‑4 sessions per week, job share, flexible working considered, with family‑friendly sessions included.
Main Duties of the Job
- Core Clinical Responsibilities
- Face‑to‑face and remote consultations.
- Duty Doctor sessions.
- Responding to patient and healthcare professional queries.
- Home visits where appropriate and agreed.
- Managing their own referrals, investigations, results, and patient correspondence.
- Administrative Duties
- Process clinical correspondence and scanned documents.
- Review and sign prescriptions.
- Manage test results and patient‑related tasks.
- Complete referrals and associated paperwork arising from their clinical work.
- Quality and Contractual Requirements
- Supporting Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) requirements.
- Ensuring accurate clinical coding and use of templates (e.g., Arden's).
- Following protocols relating to data collection and chargeable NHS/private services to ensure appropriate reimbursement to the practice.
- Meetings and Teamwork
- Attendance is expected at practice meetings, clinical governance and audit meetings, significant event reviews, educational sessions, and Primary Care Network (PCN) multidisciplinary meetings.
Clinical workload may be adjusted when attendance is required.

- Complete Foundation Training
- Complete GP Specialty Training
- MRCGP examinations
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
- Be registered with the General Medical Council and listed on the GP Register
- Be registered on the performers list
- Demonstrate ongoing professional development (CPD), appraisal, and revalidation
