We’re looking for a highly organised Resource Manager to join our growing digital agency team. This is a newly created permanent role that reflects the continued growth of the business and the increasing complexity of managing resources across multiple client workstreams. The Resource Manager will play a central role in ensuring that our internal teams are effectively planned, scheduled and utilised across all client projects – this may include creative, development and strategy roles. You’ll be confident operating independently, capable of building strong relationships across departments, and comfortable balancing immediate delivery priorities with longer-term resource planning. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Production, Client Services and Department Leads, becoming a key part of a growing resource management function. Skills/Responsibilities

  • Resource Planning & Scheduling
    • Manage day-to-day resource allocation across internal teams, including creative, strategy, UX and development.
    • Maintain visibility of active and upcoming projects to ensure resource plans are accurate, realistic and aligned to priorities.
    • Ensure the right people are assigned to projects based on skills, experience, availability and project requirements.
    • Work closely with Client Services, Production and Department Leads to forecast upcoming workload and identify capacity challenges in advance.
    • Support senior stakeholders with longer-term workforce planning by identifying trends, capability gaps and future hiring or freelance needs.
    • Manage freelancer scheduling and support onboarding where required.
    • Help maintain a balanced and sustainable workload across teams while supporting project profitability and delivery quality.
  • Workflow & Operational Management
    • Manage and maintain the agency resource schedule and workflow processes.
    • Lead regular resource and workflow meetings with department leads and project stakeholders.
    • Work proactively with teams to manage shifting priorities, changing scopes and urgent client requirements.
    • Monitor workflow efficiency and identify opportunities to improve processes, collaboration and utilisation across teams.
    • Reinforce best practices around briefing, scheduling, estimation and ways of working.
    • Escalate potential risks around timing, capacity, delivery or team pressures before they impact projects.
    • Partner closely with Production and Project Management teams to ensure smooth delivery across all disciplines.
    • Provide visibility on team utilisation, capacity, project allocation and resource forecasting.
    • Help identify over-servicing, inefficiencies or delivery risks that may impact profitability or timelines.
    • Support ongoing improvements to resource planning processes.
    • Maintain accurate visibility of freelance usage and support budget tracking where required.
    • Communicate upcoming capacity opportunities and pressure points to the wider business.
    • Build strong working relationships across all departments and levels of the business.
    • Support and collaborate with the Senior Resource and Delivery Lead, Head of Production and Resource Coordinator to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
    • Promote a positive, solutions-focused and collaborative approach to resource management.

You will bring:

  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in a Resource Manager or Traffic Manager role within a digital, creative or marketing agency environment.
  • Experience using project/resource management tools such as Monday.com, Float, Resource Guru, Asana or similar platforms.
  • An understanding of agency workflows across creative, strategy and development teams.
  • Experience managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Awareness of utilisation, capacity planning and project profitability.
  • Confidence working independently and making informed decisions.
  • A calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative yet decisive style.
  • A proactive mindset focused on improving processes and problem-solving.
