We're looking for a motivated and detail-focused Senior Finance Assistant to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the organisation's financial success.

About the Role
As our Senior Finance Assistant, you'll play a vital role within our Income team, ensuring income processes run smoothly and accurately.
You'll be responsible for generating invoices, maintaining contract data, supporting financial reporting and managing credit control activities, helping to ensure Brandon Trust receives income accurately and on time.
Working closely with Finance Business Partners, Locality Managers and commissioners, you'll become a subject matter expert in income operations while identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Producing accurate sales invoices and ensuring timely revenue recognition.
- Reconciling support hours against contracts and Local Authority requirements.
- Working with operational teams to validate service delivery information.
- Managing contract information and maintaining high levels of data accuracy.
- Undertaking credit control activities and resolving payment queries.
- Allocating incoming payments and maintaining accurate sales ledger records.
- Supporting month-end and year-end financial reporting.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and documentation.
About You
We're looking for someone who has
- AAT Advanced Diploma (Level 3) or above, is part-qualified in a recognised professional accountancy qualification, or has equivalent experience
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Experience working with financial ledgers, invoicing and credit control.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work collaboratively across teams.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within the charity, social care or not-for-profit sector would be an advantage but isn't essential.
