Salary: Β£27,280 - Β£28,940 pro rata per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 30 hours per week, with flexibility around working days and project needs

We're looking for a Community Researcher / Project Leader to join an exciting partnership with Care City CIC. This is an opportunity to lead meaningful projects that bring together people with lived experience, carers, community organisations and professionals to influence services, drive change and improve outcomes across Barking & Dagenham.

About the role

In this varied and rewarding role, you'll coordinate community research and involvement projects that help ensure people's experiences and perspectives are at the centre of decision-making.

You'll work closely with people with lived experience, carers, colleagues and community partners to:

  • Coordinate community research and co-production projects
  • Organise workshops, focus groups, meetings and community events
  • Support people to participate confidently and meaningfully in projects
  • Build strong relationships with local communities and partner organisations
  • Gather and present insights, findings and recommendations
  • Develop accessible resources, presentations and communications
  • Monitor project outcomes and demonstrate impact
  • Help create inclusive opportunities for people to influence change

About you

We're looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion, engagement and making a positive difference. You may have experience in community development, research, engagement, project coordination, participation, co-production or a similar field.

You'll be someone who:

  • Builds positive relationships with a wide range of people
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Can manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Feels confident facilitating groups, workshops and discussions
  • Is committed to inclusion, accessibility and person-centred approaches
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and bringing people together
  • Can turn feedback and ideas into meaningful actions and outcomes

This is a hybrid role based in Barking & Dagenham and delivered in partnership with Care City CIC. Interviews will take place on 19 October via Microsoft Teams.
