About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Farm Office Manager to join our dynamic team. Elm Tree Farm is a vibrant and inclusive care farm dedicated to providing a supportive environment for adults with learning disabilities and autism, providing an opportunity for training, employment, and wellbeing outcomes.
In this role you will assist and lead on the back-office functions of the site, ensuring the best level of care and support to our co-farmers. Working closely with the Care Farm Manager you will provide them with valuable support and deputise for them as required in the day-to-day operational tasks and responsibilities involved in running a safe and compliant working care farm.
Weβre looking for:
- Maths and English qualifications at GCSE (grade A-C) level or equivalent OR able to demonstrate competence at this level through assessment
- Full driving licence and own transport
- Have an understanding of local authorities/social care/EHCP pathways (desirable)
- Customer service experience, including dealing with complaints or difficult situations
- Co-ordinating volunteers with learning disabilities / ensuring processes are supportive and accessible (desirable)
- Experience working on a care farm or similar enterprise setting (desirable)
Your responsibilities:
- Monitor the office telephone and shared farm mailbox and action queries with the Care Farm Manager and Project Leads
- Assist the Volunteer Co-ordinator and Care Farm Manager with the Corporate Volunteer Programme.
- Assist the Farm Manager with the day-to-day management of the existing pool of volunteers at the farm site.
- Working with the Enterprise Social Media lead and Comms team to undertake marketing activity to increase sales and attract new business
- Assist Project Leads and Care Farm manager to raise and maintain co-farmer records
- Assist the Farm Manager with the H&S Compliance for all aspects of the farm
- Assist the Enterprise Business Manager with writing small scale fundraising grants and bids and identifying larger opportunities
- Assist the finance department and enterprise staff with developing positive relationships with local commissioning authorities
- Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance schedules
- Oversee the purchasing of office supplies and Enterprise supplies
- Assist the Enterprise Business Manager and farm team with event organisation and promotion
