Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to program, set, and operate HAAS 3, 4, and 5-axis milling machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-precision components while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The role features a competitive salary and is part of a single day shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set, and operate HAAS 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Set up tooling & fixtures for efficient production.
- Adjust tool offsets and machine settings to maintain tight tolerances.
- Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges to inspect components.
- Carry out and sign off first-off inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments where necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company procedures.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines, ideally HAAS controls.
- Experience with 3, 4, and preferably 5-axis machining.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining practices.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CNC programming experience (online or offline).
- Experience on Turning advantageous.
- Experience within precision engineering or high-tolerance manufacturing.
- Engineering apprenticeship or relevant machining qualification.
