A growing, medium-sized fire consultancy is looking to appoint an ambitious Fire Engineer to support projects across Yorkshire and the North East. The successful Fire Engineer will assist with the delivery of fire engineering solutions across residential, commercial, education and public sector projects.
The Fire Engineer will prepare fire strategies, review design information, advise on Building Regulations and support clients through design and remediation stages. The Fire Engineer will attend design team meetings, produce technical reports and work closely with architects, developers, contractors and building owners.
This position would suit a Fire Engineer who wants to progress within a consultancy that can offer technical variety and long-term development.
- Degree in Fire Engineering or relevant discipline
- Experience producing fire strategies
- Knowledge of Approved Document B and BS 9999
- Consultancy experience preferred
- Strong technical writing skills
- Working towards IFE or chartered status
