The successful candidate will play a key role in leading complex projects, managing client relationships and supporting the development of a talented fire engineering team. They will be entrusted with delivering innovative fire engineering solutions whilst helping to shape the future direction of the business.
This position offers a blend of technical leadership, project delivery and strategic input, making it ideal for an experienced Principal Fire Engineer seeking greater influence within a respected consultancy environment.
Responsibilities:- Producing and reviewing complex fire strategies
- Leading performance-based fire engineering assessments
- Managing key client relationships
- Supporting Building Safety Act and Gateway submissions
- Providing technical leadership to project teams
- Mentoring and developing Fire Engineers and Senior Fire Engineers
- Contributing to business development activities
- Representing the consultancy at client and industry meetings
- Reviewing technical reports and project deliverables
The Principal Fire Engineer will lead the delivery of fire engineering services across a diverse project portfolio, providing expert advice to clients, design teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:- A degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline
- Extensive consultancy experience within fire engineering
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Approved Document B
- Experience leading multidisciplinary projects
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Chartered status or active progression towards Chartership
- A proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships
- £75,000 - £95,000
