A well-established, multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Reading. The company offers strong professional development support, making it an excellent environment for long-term career progression.The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for leading cost planning and management throughout the full project lifecycle – from feasibility to final account. You will act as the key commercial contact for clients, managing expectations and ensuring that value, risk, and performance are effectively monitored and reported.This Senior Quantity Surveyor role would suit someone with excellent communication skills, a hands‐on approach to problem-solving, and a solid understanding of both pre‐ and post‐contract consultancy services.Senior Quantity Surveyor – Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of cost plans, estimates, and tender documentationManage the procurement of contractors and consultants, including analysis and recommendationsOversee contract administration, change management and interim valuationsPrepare and present regular cost reports and forecasts to clientsProvide mentorship to junior Quantity Surveyors within the teamAttend project meetings and provide strategic commercial adviceSenior Quantity Surveyor – Candidate Requirements Minimum 6‐8 years\’ Quantity Surveying experience within a consultancy environmentRICS accredited degree and MRICS status preferredProven experience across multiple sectors including commercial or public sectorPre and post contract knowledge with strong cost reporting skillsExcellent understanding of UK construction contracts (JCT/NEC)Strong client‐facing skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationshipsIn Return Salary of 65,000 – 70,000 (depending on experience)25 days holiday + bank holidaysFlexible hybrid working (Reading office base)Pension and private healthcareSupportive, structured career developmentExposure to a wide range of complex, high‐value projectsIf you are a Quantity Surveyor considering your career opportunities, then please contact Dan McEvoy at Brandon James.(phone number removed)Reference 21055
