A privately owned consultancy based in London (Waterloo) is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager to join their close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager to take on a broad, client-facing role across a range of projects.
The Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager will play a key role in both the commercial and project delivery aspects, acting as a central figure in driving schemes forward. This position offers real responsibility, variety, and the chance to work closely with decision-makers in a fast-paced environment.
The Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager will be responsible for managing both cost and project delivery elements across multiple schemes. They will lead procurement processes, including appointing main contractors and design teams, and will take ownership of tender documentation and evaluation.
As a Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager, you will chair client and design team meetings, ensuring projects are progressing in line with programme and budget. You will also administer contracts, with a strong focus on JCT, and act in an Employer's Agent / Contract Administrator capacity where required.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' UK experience within a consultancy or client-side environment. Experience running tender processes and procuring both contractors and consultants is essential. Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts is required. A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar is preferred, although RICS accreditation is not necessary.
The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and confident leading meetings and driving projects forward.
In return, the salary offered is £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience) or £375 - £425 per day (temp). There is an opportunity for a temp-to-perm arrangement. The office is based in Waterloo with site visits as required, providing exposure to the full project lifecycle and client-facing responsibility. An immediate start is available.
