A respected fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Consultant to strengthen their growing team in Newcastle. The successful Fire Consultant will work across a diverse range of developments throughout the North East, supporting clients with practical and technically sound fire safety advice. The Fire Consultant's Role The appointed Fire Consultant will be involved in projects from early design through to completion, working closely with developers, architects and wider design teams. Responsibilities will include: Preparing fire strategies for new-build and existing buildings Reviewing drawings, specifications and design information Providing advice on Approved Document B and relevant British Standards Carrying out fire safety inspections and assessments Producing detailed technical reports Liaising with clients, contractors and design teams Supporting Building Regulations submissions Assisting with fire safety matters relating to higher-risk and complex buildings The Fire Consultant The successful Fire Consultant will ideally hold: A degree or relevant qualification in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety or a related subject Previous experience within a fire consultancy or similar technical environment Strong knowledge of UK fire safety guidance and legislation Experience producing fire strategies or fire safety reports Good communication and client-facing skills Membership of the IFE or another relevant professional body would be beneficial A full UK driving licence would be advantageous In Return?
