A multidisciplinary consultancy with a close‑knit Principal Design team is looking to bring a Director into the business. You will join a harmonious and experienced team. This is a unique opportunity for an Architect registered with RIBA or CIAT, or a Class 3 registered Building Control Surveyor, looking to transition into a Principal Design role. You will lead a team and manage service operations.

The successful Director for Building Regulations will be in a client‑facing position and sit on the company Board as the lead for the Principal Design service offering. You will work from an office two days a week.

The Role

The successful Director for Principal Designer will manage the team to ensure both Building Regulation and CDM risk is mitigated. You will lead the operations of the service, manage team members, and be responsible for managing their pipeline of repeat business.

The Person

The Principal Design Director suitable for this role will have at least 15 years within an Architectural or Building Control Surveyor / RBI role. The Principal Design Director suitable for this role will be registered as a RIBA, CIAT or APS Principal Designer for HRBs or a Class 3 G/H RBI / Building Control Surveyor.
