A leading specialist law firm is seeking an International Protection & Arbitration Paralegal to join its busy London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal with experience in immigration, international protection, arbitration or human rights to join a highly respected team. Working alongside experienced solicitors, you will support a varied caseload while developing your expertise in complex international and public law matters.
The International Protection & Arbitration Paralegal's Role
The successful International Protection & Arbitration Paralegal will provide legal and administrative support across a broad range of international protection and arbitration matters. Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting legal correspondence, witness statements and court documents
- Preparing Home Office, Tribunal and Court applications
- Managing electronic and paper case files
- Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and government bodies
- Attending client meetings, conferences and hearings, taking detailed attendance notes
- Preparing bundles and supporting documentation
- Monitoring deadlines and maintaining accurate case management records
- Assisting with legal research and case preparation
- Supporting AML, compliance and client onboarding procedures
- Contributing to business development through networking and legal articles
The International Protection & Arbitration Paralegal
- At least 6 months' paralegal experience within immigration, litigation, arbitration or human rights
- Law degree, GDL, LPC or SQE qualification
- Strong drafting and legal research skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong client care and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience of Home Office procedures, international arbitration or human rights work would be advantageous
