The Chartered Senior Building Surveyor's Role: The successful Building Surveyor will take the lead on a variety of building surveying projects - from technical due diligence and defects analysis to project management and contract administration. You'll work closely with clients, provide strategic advice, and oversee the delivery of high-value schemes from inception to completion. Alongside project delivery, you'll mentor junior colleagues and play a key role in growing the team's client base and reputation.
The Successful Chartered Building Surveyor Will Have Qualifications:
- A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- MRICS (or significant progress towards chartership)
- A full UK driving licence and access to transport
Knowledge and Attributes:
- A deep understanding of building construction and property law, including the Party Wall etc. Act 1996
- Strong experience across building surveys, contract administration, and pre-contract matters
- Familiarity with the JCT suite and other standard forms of building contract
- Capable of producing detailed reports, drawings, schedules, and contract documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for mentoring junior staff and sharing expertise
