An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Aid Solicitor to join a specialist legal practice handling a varied caseload across legal aid care and private law matters.

The role would suit a newly qualified solicitor or a solicitor with up to two years' PQE who is looking to develop their experience within a supportive and specialist environment.

The firm does not undertake criminal or immigration work.

The Role

Managing a caseload of legal aid care and private law matters.

Advising and representing clients throughout the conduct of their cases.

Preparing legal documents, applications and correspondence.

Undertaking legal research and providing clear, practical advice.

Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and other relevant parties.

Preparing matters for hearings and attending court where required.

Ensuring files are maintained accurately and in accordance with legal aid and regulatory requirements.

Managing deadlines and progressing matters efficiently.

Working collaboratively with colleagues while taking ownership of your own caseload.

About You

Qualified solicitor at NQ to 2 years' PQE.

Experience in legal aid care and/or private law is desirable.

Strong understanding of relevant legal and procedural requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong client care and interpersonal skills.

Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.

Strong attention to detail and sound legal judgement.

Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a team.
