Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Fire Engineer to join a respected fire safety consultancy with a growing presence across the UK and Ireland. Known for their people-first ethos, this progressive firm is seeking a proactive Lead Fire Engineer to strengthen their experienced team in their London office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of tailored fire safety solutions across varied sectors, including developing fire strategy reports, producing fee proposals, attending client meetings, and overseeing site surveys and inspections.
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute to the development of junior team members while managing workload to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Communicate fire strategies and solutions to project stakeholders in a client-facing role.
  • Carry out advanced fire engineering calculations, undertake design reviews, and support compliance with UK fire safety legislation.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Fire Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years\\\’ experience in fire safety engineering.
  • Ideally Chartered or working towards chartership (MIFireE or AIFireE preferred).
  • Basic project management experience.
  • Proven ability to apply ADB, BS 9999 and BS 9991 in practice.
  • Skilled in producing detailed strategy reports and advising multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, quality-driven and enthusiastic about mentoring others.
