Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Fire Engineer to join a respected fire safety consultancy with a growing presence across the UK and Ireland. Known for their people-first ethos, this progressive firm is seeking a proactive Lead Fire Engineer to strengthen their experienced team in their London office.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of tailored fire safety solutions across varied sectors, including developing fire strategy reports, producing fee proposals, attending client meetings, and overseeing site surveys and inspections.
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to the development of junior team members while managing workload to ensure effective project delivery.
- Communicate fire strategies and solutions to project stakeholders in a client-facing role.
- Carry out advanced fire engineering calculations, undertake design reviews, and support compliance with UK fire safety legislation.
Qualifications
- A degree in Fire Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Ideally a minimum of 3 years\\\’ experience in fire safety engineering.
- Ideally Chartered or working towards chartership (MIFireE or AIFireE preferred).
- Basic project management experience.
- Proven ability to apply ADB, BS 9999 and BS 9991 in practice.
- Skilled in producing detailed strategy reports and advising multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, quality-driven and enthusiastic about mentoring others.
