The successful Building Surveyor will be joining a growing consultancy with an established reputation for delivering building surveying services across the commercial property sector. The Building Surveyor will work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to a varied workload while building strong client relationships.
As the Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of building surveying services to clients across multiple sectors. The role will include:
- Providing professional building surveying services including building inspections, acquisition surveys, dilapidations, schedules of condition and party wall matters
- Undertaking contract administration duties on maintenance, refurbishment and improvement projects
- Producing technical reports and providing advice on a range of building-related matters
- Communicating effectively with clients, contractors and internal teams throughout project delivery
- Supporting business development activities and maintaining existing client relationships
- Attending meetings with clients and project stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry standards
- Managing project administration including timesheets, expenses and invoicing requirements
- Adhering to health and safety and quality management procedures
You will be a motivated and commercially aware individual with experience delivering building surveying services within the UK property market. The Building Surveyor must have:
- A RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying or a related property discipline
- Experience providing advice on a range of building surveying matters
- Strong understanding of client requirements and commercial objectives
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet project deadlines
- Experience working independently and as part of a wider team
- Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills
