The successful Insurance Solicitor will be joining a firm recognised for its national presence in the insurance sector, offering high-quality work in areas such as professional indemnity, property damage, and complex liability claims. The Insurance Solicitor\’s role
The Insurance Solicitor will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious insurance matters. This includes advising on policy interpretation, handling litigation through the County and High Courts, and representing clients in arbitration and mediation. The role also involves supporting insurers and reinsurers with strategic advice, as well as liaising directly with underwriters, brokers, and corporate clients.
Working closely with senior partners and legal directors, the Insurance Solicitor will also assist with business development initiatives and client training programmes. This is a client-facing position, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills alongside technical legal expertise.
The Insurance Solicitor
Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (2+ years PQE preferred)
Strong experience in insurance law, ideally within a dedicated insurance or commercial litigation team
Experience in policy wording, indemnity issues, and regulatory compliance advantageous
Solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant case law
Excellent analytical and drafting skills
