An established and well-regarded property management company is looking to appoint an experienced Block Manager to join their team based in Hendon. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident property professional with several years of relevant block management experience who is looking to join a busy and supportive organisation.

The successful Block Manager will take responsibility for managing their own portfolio of residential developments, ensuring properties are professionally managed and clients, leaseholders and contractors receive a high standard of service.

The Role

As a Block Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential blocks across London and the surrounding areas. You will act as a key point of contact for leaseholders, freeholders and contractors while ensuring developments are managed efficiently and in accordance with relevant legislation.

The Block Manager will undertake regular site inspections, coordinate maintenance and repair works, manage contractors and assist with service charge budgets. You will also attend client and residents' meetings when required and ensure any issues are dealt with promptly and professionally.

Requirements

The successful Block Manager will ideally have:

  • A minimum of two to three years' experience working as a Block Manager within a residential property management or managing agent environment.
  • Strong knowledge of residential leasehold and block management.
  • Experience managing contractors, maintenance works and service charge matters.
  • An industry-relevant qualification such as TPI/IRPM or RICS would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with a professional and confident communication style.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a busy portfolio independently.
  • A proactive approach and the experience required to hit the ground running.

Salary & Benefits

The successful Block Manager will receive a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. A higher salary may be considered for an exceptional candidate who can demonstrate significant relevant experience and added value.
