The Fire Engineer's Role
- Develop performance-based fire strategies in line with ADB, BS 9999, BS 9991, and the Building Safety Act
- Produce clear, compliant fire strategy reports from concept through to completion
- Contribute to fire modelling and advanced calculations (CFD experience advantageous)
- Engage directly with clients, design teams, and authorities across all RIBA stages
- Conduct site inspections, reviews and risk assessments
- Support junior team members and technical development initiatives
The Fire Engineer
- Degree in Fire Engineering or closely related field
- 2-3+ years' experience in a UK fire consultancy or multidisciplinary environment
- Proven ability to deliver quality reports and client-facing technical advice
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and codes
- Progressing towards MIFireE or IEng / CEng status (or actively interested)
- Proactive and collaborative, with a clear, solution-focused mindset
