About the Company

The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will be joining an established construction consultancy delivering quantity surveying services across the retail and restaurant sectors. The business works with occupiers, developers and operators on refurbishment and fit-out projects across the South East. This Graduate Quantity Surveyor role sits within a small and collaborative surveying team, offering direct exposure to projects and clients.

The Role

  • As the Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors and support the commercial delivery of retail and restaurant projects.
  • The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will assist throughout the project lifecycle from pre-contract to final account.
  • Assisting with cost planning and cost control
  • Supporting the preparation of tender and contract documentation
  • Assisting with valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Attending site meetings and progress reviews
  • Working alongside contractors, consultants and clients
  • Supporting commercial and cost reporting

Qualifications

  • The successful Graduate Quantity Surveyor will be motivated and keen to develop within consultancy quantity surveying.

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • Exposure to UK construction projects through placements or work experience
  • An understanding of basic cost management principles
