The Fire Risk Assessor's Role

  • Conduct Type 1-4 Fire Risk Assessments across a mix of low to medium-rise buildings, with occasional complex or high-risk structures.
  • Complete thorough on-site fire risk assessments.
  • Produce clear, structured FRA reports aligned with PAS 79.
  • Advise on remedial works, evacuation procedures, and fire safety policy.
  • Liaise with contractors, building teams, and regulatory bodies.
  • Keep up to date with fire safety legislation and best practice.

The Fire Risk Assessor

  • 1-2+ years' experience in a fire risk assessment role.
  • Level 3 or above Fire Risk Assessment qualification (NEBOSH Fire, FPA, IFSM or equivalent).
  • Ideally on the IFSM NFRAR register (or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of the Fire Safety Order 2005, BS 9991, BS 9999, and the Building Safety Act.
  • Ability to work independently and manage site schedules.
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
