A globally recognised, multidisciplinary consultancy seeking a Director to lead and grow its Cost Management offering in Central London. This is a rare opportunity for a Director to take full ownership of a high‑performing team within a business delivering complex infrastructure, energy, water and built‑environment projects. The successful Director will play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, driving revenue and strengthening client relationships across key sectors. This Director position is ideal for an experienced Director ready to make a significant impact within a leading international consultancy.

The appointed Director will work closely with senior leadership, taking responsibility for project delivery, team leadership and business development. This role offers the opportunity to lead major commissions from inception through to completion, while also identifying and securing new opportunities. As a Director, you will be instrumental in mentoring senior staff, expanding the London presence and driving commercial success.

The Role

  • Leading the Cost Management function as a Director within the London office
  • Driving business development, client engagement and revenue growth
  • Overseeing cost planning, commercial strategy and project delivery
  • Managing procurement, tendering and contract administration (JCT/NEC)
  • Acting as a senior client interface across major programmes
  • Providing leadership, mentoring and development of senior surveyors
  • Ensuring successful delivery of high‑value, complex projects

The Director

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Proven experience operating at Director level within the UK consultancy market
  • Strong background across infrastructure, energy or major build sectors
  • Excellent knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
  • MRICS Chartered (or equivalent) essential
  • Strong business development and client‑facing capabilities
  • Strategic, commercially driven and experienced leader
