An established and design-led construction consultancy in London is looking for an experienced Associate Director to join their 25-strong team. The Associate Director will work across an impressive portfolio of commercial, workplace and hospitality projects, including headquarters, restaurants and private members' clubs for high-profile clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Director who wants to work on distinctive projects while taking on a senior role within a well-established consultancy.

The successful Associate Director will join a business that has been operating for around 10 years and has built a strong reputation across the London market. The Associate Director will work alongside the founders, Project Directors, fellow Associate Directors and Senior Project Managers, with the opportunity to lead key client relationships and major projects. For an ambitious Associate Director, there is also the opportunity to support the continued growth of the business and develop towards Director level.

The Associate Director's role

The Associate Director will take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects across the consultancy's commercial, workplace and hospitality portfolio.

Projects are split approximately 40% commercial, 40% workplace and 20% hospitality, providing the Associate Director with a varied workload and regular exposure to high-profile clients.

Responsibilities will include leading project teams, managing client relationships, overseeing programmes and project delivery, supporting junior members of the team and contributing to the wider development of the consultancy.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Associate Director

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant Project Management experience within a construction consultancy
  • Experience delivering commercial, workplace, hospitality or high-end fit-out projects
  • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • Strong client-facing and relationship-management skills
  • Experience leading project teams and managing complex schemes
  • MRICS, MAPM or another relevant professional qualification, or progress towards chartership
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to be office-based regularly
