A growing fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Surveyor to join their team and support projects across Glasgow and the wider Central Belt. The successful Fire Surveyor will work across a broad range of residential, commercial and public-sector buildings, delivering detailed inspections and practical compliance advice. The Fire Surveyor's Role The appointed Fire Surveyor will carry out site-based surveys, identify defects and provide clear recommendations to support remedial works and ongoing fire safety compliance. Key responsibilities will include: Completing fire compartmentation surveys Undertaking fire door inspections Inspecting fire-stopping and passive fire protection systems Recording defects and areas of non-compliance Producing accurate technical reports and remedial recommendations Reviewing drawings, plans and building information Liaising with clients, contractors and property teams Supporting wider fire safety and compliance programmes Managing site visits across Glasgow and surrounding areas The Fire Surveyor The successful Fire Surveyor will ideally have: Previous experience in fire surveying, passive fire protection or building surveying Strong knowledge of fire doors, compartmentation and fire-stopping A relevant qualification in Fire Safety, Construction, Building Surveying or a related discipline Good understanding of current UK fire safety guidance and standards Strong reporting and communication skills Confidence working independently across multiple sites A full UK driving licence Relevant qualifications or memberships such as IFE, FDIS, CIOB or equivalent would be advantageous.
