We are working with a highly regarded international law firm seeking a mid-level Competition Associate to join its well-established Brussels office. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to develop their career within a market-leading competition practice, working on complex and high-profile matters with an international focus.
The Role
You will be part of a recognised Competition team advising on a broad range of EU and international competition law matters. The role offers exposure to premium work and the opportunity to work closely with partners and senior lawyers on sophisticated cases.
- Advising clients on EU and national competition law issues
- Merger control and foreign direct investment filings
- Antitrust investigations and cartel matters
- State aid and regulatory advice
- Supporting clients before the European Commission and national competition authorities
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions
About You
- EU Qualified lawyer with approximately 3 to 6 years' post-qualification experience in competition law
- Strong academic background
- Experience gained at a recognised international or leading regional law firm
- Native/Fluent Dutch desirable, other European languages beneficial
- Solid knowledge of EU competition law, including merger control and antitrust
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Fluent English required
- Proactive, commercial, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
