A respected construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong Quantity Surveying and Employer's Agent experience to take a leading role across industrial and logistics projects. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a professional team with a healthy pipeline of work across warehouses, distribution centres, logistics and wider industrial schemes. This role would suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor who is confident managing projects from feasibility stage through to completion and acting as Employer's Agent.

The Role

  • The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for leading cost planning, feasibility advice, procurement, tender reporting, contract administration, valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
  • As Employer's Agent, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead meetings, manage contractual matters, advise clients, coordinate consultants and contractors, and ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectations.
  • The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also support junior team members where required and maintain strong client relationships throughout each stage of the project.

The Candidate

  • The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor will have a Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent construction-related qualification. MRICS, working towards MRICS or substantial relevant consultancy experience would be highly beneficial.
  • They should have strong consultancy experience, proven Employer's Agent knowledge and a good understanding of JCT contracts.
  • Experience across industrial, logistics, sheds, distribution centres or warehousing projects is essential.
  • The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be commercially strong, client facing and confident managing their own workload.
