A growing and highly regarded fire engineering consultancy is seeking a Fire Engineer to join their expanding technical team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK and internationally, supporting clients with innovative fire engineering solutions.

The Fire Engineer's Role

The successful Fire Engineer will be responsible for delivering fire engineering projects, producing technical reports and supporting clients with fire safety strategies across a range of sectors. Working within a collaborative environment, the Fire Engineer will contribute to project delivery, technical excellence and ongoing business growth.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and delivering fire engineering projects from inception through to completion
  • Undertaking fire risk assessments across a variety of building types and occupancies
  • Producing and presenting technical reports, findings and workshops
  • Providing fire engineering advice and guidance to clients and project teams
  • Supporting project bids and contributing to successful project delivery
  • Promoting high technical standards and quality throughout all work undertaken
  • Working directly with clients and external stakeholders to understand project requirements
  • Providing technical support to colleagues and contributing to knowledge sharing initiatives
  • Assisting with research and development activities within the fire engineering team
The ideal Fire Engineer will have:
  • A degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline
  • Ideally 2+ years' experience within a UK fire engineering consultancy environment
  • Membership or progress towards professional accreditation such as MIFireE, GIFireE or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, standards and design guidance
  • Experience delivering fire engineering solutions on UK-based projects
  • Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines effectively
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Experience working independently and remotely when required
  • Knowledge of fire safety guidance within Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland would be advantageous
