An award-winning and highly respected law firm is looking to recruit an Associate Solicitor to join its growing Property Litigation team in the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with experience in contentious property matters to join one of the region's leading specialist teams. You'll work alongside recognised experts, handling a broad mix of commercial and residential property disputes for an impressive client base that includes developers, investors, retailers, local authorities, financial institutions and major property owners. The Role

You’ll manage your own varied caseload while supporting Partners and Senior Associates on larger, more complex matters. The work includes:

  • Commercial landlord and tenant disputes
  • Business lease renewals and dilapidations
  • Breach of covenant, alterations and reinstatement claims
  • Rent reviews, rent arrears, service charge and forfeiture disputes
  • Break notices and vacant possession matters
  • Business rates appeals
  • Boundary disputes, rights of way, restrictive covenants and adverse possession claims
  • Rights to light, telecoms and development disputes
  • Construction-related property litigation, overage agreements and insolvency-related property matters
  • Managing files, billing and matters within agreed budgets and timescales

About You

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or equivalent
  • Around 2-5 years' PQE, although applications outside this range will be considered where relevant experience is demonstrated
  • Previous Property Litigation experience is essential, or a strong litigation background with significant property dispute experience
  • Solid knowledge of commercial landlord and tenant law and relevant property legislation
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine interest in developing within a specialist Property Litigation team
