A well-established construction and property consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Director Building Surveyor to join their growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for a building surveyor looking to take on a leadership position within a successful consultancy environment. The Building Surveyor will lead client relationships, oversee project delivery, contribute to business development initiatives and support the growth of the Building Surveyor team. The successful Building Surveyor will work across a diverse commercial property portfolio while helping to shape the future direction of the business.
The successful Building Surveyor will be joining a respected multidisciplinary consultancy with an established reputation across the commercial property sector. The business continues to secure new instructions across both public and private sector markets, providing the Building Surveyor with exposure to a varied workload and opportunities to contribute to the growth of the business.
As the Associate Director Building Surveyor, you will take responsibility for leading projects, managing client accounts and supporting wider business objectives. The role will include:
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and securing repeat business opportunities
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across existing and new sectors
- Delivering professional and project-led building surveying instructions
- Managing complex projects from inception through to completion
- Providing leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- Supporting team performance and contributing to business planning objectives
- Collaborating with colleagues to identify opportunities for additional services
You will be an experienced and commercially minded individual with a proven track record within a consultancy environment. Applications from candidates without relevant Building Surveying experience will not be considered.
The Associate Director Building Surveyor must have:
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related property discipline
- Membership of a recognised professional body such as RICS, CIOB or APM preferred
- Experience delivering commercial building surveying projects and professional instructions
- Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships
- Strong technical knowledge across commercial property and construction projects
- Experience managing complex projects for both public and private sector clients
- Ability to generate new business opportunities and develop existing accounts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
In return, the position offers a salary of £65,000 - £70,000 per annum, along with bonus, pension, healthcare, life assurance, professional development support, hybrid working, and career progression opportunities.
