A specialist, London-based construction consultancy is looking to appoint a talented Associate Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its senior team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Quantity Surveyor to operate across a portfolio of high-end residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes, all delivered with a strong focus on quality and client satisfaction. The Associate Quantity Surveyor will take on a pivotal position within the business, influencing both project delivery and client relationships. This role offers a high level of autonomy and the chance to contribute to the consultancy's continued growth. The Associate Quantity Surveyor will be joining a close-knit, highly regarded team with an impressive client base.

The Associate Quantity Surveyor will lead the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery from inception through to completion. The Associate Quantity Surveyor will take charge of procurement activities, including selecting and appointing contractors and consultants, as well as managing tender documentation and negotiations. You will facilitate client and design team meetings, maintaining alignment on programme, cost, and quality. The Associate Quantity Surveyor will also take responsibility for contract administration duties, primarily under JCT, and will act as Employer's Agent where required, while also guiding and developing junior team members.

Qualifications and Experience

  • The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will bring at least 7 years' experience within a consultancy or client-side setting.
  • A strong track record of delivering projects, leading procurement processes, and managing client relationships is essential.
  • A solid understanding of JCT contracts is required.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is expected, with MRICS highly desirable.
  • The Associate Quantity Surveyor will be confident, commercially aware, and comfortable taking the lead across both projects and people.
