A specialist construction consultancy in London is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their growing residential team. This is a strong opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, or an experienced Project Manager ready to step up, to lead major residential schemes from day one.
The Senior Project Manager will be working on large-scale residential projects, including housing association developments and build to rent schemes, typically ranging from 150 to 400 units. This role would suit a capable Senior Project Manager who can take ownership immediately, manage clients confidently, and deliver both pre-contract and post-contract project stages.
The successful Senior Project Manager will join a structured team that includes senior leadership support, while still being trusted to lead projects independently. You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Senior Project Manager will lead residential projects across London, working on housing association, build to rent, and wider residential development schemes. Responsibilities include:
- Managing projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
- Client reporting
- Programme management
- Consultant coordination
- Contractor management
- Risk tracking
- Procurement support
- Contract administration
The Senior Project Manager will also chair project meetings, manage stakeholder expectations, support junior team members where required, and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. There will also be the opportunity for involvement in business development and client relationship building.
The successful Senior Project Manager will have:
- Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment
- Strong residential project experience, ideally including housing association or build to rent schemes
- Experience delivering large residential developments, ideally from 150 to 400 units
- The ability to lead projects independently from day one
- Pre-contract and post-contract project delivery experience
- A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a similar construction-related subject
- Ideally MRICS, MAPM, or MCIOB chartered, although support can be provided if not yet chartered
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and residential project delivery
- Excellent client-facing, communication, and leadership skills
- A proactive, committed, and confident approach to project management
In return, the position offers a salary of £70,000 - £75,000, pension contribution, professional development support, chartership support where required, and clear progression routes within a growing consultancy.
