An ambitious start-up Cost Consultancy based near Old Street is seeking a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to support their high-profile projects across London.

This forward-thinking firm is founded by established industry professionals and is building a reputation for specialist, repeat-business-focused services with blue-chip clients.

This Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor role offers a rare opportunity to join a young, dynamic practice at an early stage, with real influence over how the MEP offering grows. The consultancy is currently delivering complex refurbishments ranging from £13m to £80m, with feasibility studies underway on additional major schemes, including a potential £600m project due to commence later this year.

The role would suit either a freelance Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor available 2-3 days a week, or someone looking to take on a long-term permanent position. While current project demands don’t yet require a full-time hire, the expectation is that workload will grow significantly over the next couple of months.

This is a standout opportunity for a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor who is either ready to step into a leadership role or wants to develop into one. Long-term, there is potential for equity or leadership involvement as the practice grows (targeting 20-30 staff, with a specialist MEP team of 4-5).

The Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years MEP Quantity Surveying experience in a UK Consultancy
  • Strong technical Pre-Contract MEP knowledge
  • Comfortable producing cost plans, challenging subcontractor returns and interpreting complex services designs
  • Experience with commercial office refurbishments preferred
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar, ideally MRICS or working towards
