A competent Fire Surveyor with External Wall and FRAEW experience is required to join a leading fire engineering consultancy in the midlands.
The Fire Surveyor’s role
The successful fire surveyor will be required to carry out passive fire assessments, including:
- Performance characteristics on external walls from manufacturers literature, certification and interpretation of test reports
- Fire Risk Appraisals
- External wall assessments (EWS1 and FRAEW)
- Site visits
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and UK building standards
- Must be happy to travel around the Uk with potential overnight stays
- Strong time management and meeting deadlines
- Assisting with fee proposals
- Commercially astuteness
- Input on CPD
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant degree or qualification in Building Studies, risk assessment, or similar
- Professional membership with surveying, construction, engineering, fire safety. E.g. IFE, IFSM, AIFireE
- Previous experience in similar position
- Full UK driving license
