Senior Building Surveyor – Take the Technical Lead on Education Projects

A design and construction-focused practice based in Southeast London is looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their expanding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to take on a technical leadership role, contributing to the success of a variety of education projects within a supportive environment.

The Role of the successful Senior Building Surveyor

As the Senior Building Surveyor, you will take on the Technical Lead across a range of education schemes, working from project inception through to completion.

You will collaborate with in-house teams to deliver high-quality results and ensure successful project delivery. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise while playing an integral role in a growing practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead education-focused projects from start to finish
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight on all aspects of the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with internal design and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Manage client relationships and maintain the highest standards of service
  • Drive project success while mentoring and supporting junior team members

The Ideal Senior Building Surveyor

The ideal candidate will be a Senior Building Surveyor with a strong construction background, confident in leading technical aspects of projects.

  • MRICS qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • RICS accredited degree (essential)
  • Proven background in construction consultancy
  • Experience in education projects is advantageous
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
